"Al Gore, Jacinda's new friend."

He is one of those real looney tunes these days, far from when he was Vice President.  Could be the forming of a mutual admiration society.

"Trains : shall we, shant we, I dont know."

The railways union is acting like the dinosaurs have been resurrected.  The Labour government must be so embarrassed by the unions actions.  These antics ended 30 years ago (apart from the teachers 10 years ago)..  What next??

"Politics is going to be so much fun next year."

We are seeing the inconsistancies between election promises and reality now, there are plenty more to come.  Lets accept, this is politics and just enjoy the ride.

Save water, have only 2 ice cubes in your G & T"

It is drying off quickly, we should do something to save water now.

"Rugby, at least it has ended for the year."

Rugby seems to go on and on, may times so boring.  Being number one is so nothing, when there is no number two.

"Yesterday, what a day to skive off and go fishing."

And it was in the middle of Cook Strait.  I would do it again like a shot.

"Pike River is safe, Andrew and Winston said so.  Now what?"

Labour and NZ First made Pike River political pre-election, saying they would be 1st in after the election.  .  Now they say they will go in ONLY IF experts say it is safe, and in late next year.  This is a case of the people in the mining community being lied to for political gain.

Go on Andrew and Winston, go in now, you said you would.

"League: Do they get paid?  Really.... Why"

The team was a disgrace, they lost because they were pathetic.  Had they lost because the other team was better, okay.  But this was not the case.  The Captain should be taught some basic manners too.  Dont do the post match interview on TV while chewing gum, it looked sickening.  These jokers make the Warriors look good!

"Joyce can count to minus 11, Robertson can now count to minus 13."

During the election campaign Joyce said Labour had an $11Billion shortfall.  This was poo pooed by the media.  A month after election it is now universally agreed that Labour have to borrow $13 billion to fill the gap (or more)  Never mind, we will have to pay for it.

"No-one missed their train yesterday."

The first strike for the new government.  Is this a union flexing muscles, telling the government that they expect to be looked after since we now have a Labour Government?
